Mini Vinnies -serving the common good!

Mini Vinnies members once again gathered at The Space in Govanhill to get to know one another, learn together and celebrate their achievements and experiences.

Pictured in the header image are  Mr Sean Murphy, teacher at St Bride’s Primary School in Bothwell, with members of the schools Mini Vinnies group. Having served as Conference President for the University of Glasgow Conference, as well as supporting the national youth development programme, Sean prepared and delivered the event. The theme was “Serving the Common Good”, and this was an ideal choice given that it is the theme chosen by SCES for this years Catholic Education Week. It  is of course also at the heart of Vincentian values!

Inspiring each other…and the wider community!

Terry Coyle, SSVP member from St Thomas’ in Riddrie reflected on the day.

“I was inspired by the young students when they reported on their activities during the past year. Their generous work has supported many good causes.  It was moving to hear how their acts of service had enriched their lives, especially when one said that her membership of Mini Vinnies has inspired her to become a Catholic”.
