Helping those in need

Around the world, hundreds of thousands of young people give their time and energy to help people in need.

With a joyful attitude,  younger SSVP  members organise appeals for clothing, food, toiletries, gifts etc., and they also visit people in their homes, hospitals and nursing homes  and help out at soup kitchens and clubs for people with disabilities(and much more!).

For the first time ever, 4th July will mark the ‘International Day of Vincentian Youth’.   This day was chosen as it is the day of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, a young Italian man who spent his short life serving the poor as a member of the SSVP .
