Poverty Alliance To Outline
Key Issues at Online Hustings
A Scotland For All of Us, is The Poverty Alliance’s 2021 Scottish Parliament election manifesto (which you can read here). In it, they set out some of the bold and ambitious policies that they are calling on all of Scotland’s political parties to commit to in advance of the Holyrood election, and to focus on in the next Scottish Parliament.
The manifesto is the result of a process involving many organisations and individual activists from across the Poverty Alliance network, who have all provided invaluable expertise and guidance about the priorities that we should be focusing on. They would like to thank everyone who has helped to shape the final document.
To mark the launch of the manifesto, Poverty Alliance director Peter Kelly has written in the Scotsman outlining some of their calls and why they are so urgent and pressing. You can read the article here.
On Tuesday 6th April, they will also be holding an online hustings at which the manifesto will be the focus of the discussion. Chaired by Fiona Garven (Poverty Alliance board member and the Director of Scottish Community Development Centre) the hustings will feature representatives from each of Scotland’s political parties. You can register your place here. Our SSVP Scotland President Danny Collins will also be attending.
